Laser Facial

Our Laser Facial with our Nd:YAG laser is a corrective and preventative treatment. Our Laser uses the safest energy-based technology, helping to boost your skin’s collagen production, tightens your skin, improves skin discoloration, and minimizes the appearance of pores.

Laser Facials really can provide great results to those looking for prevention, correction, those with sensitive skin and more acneic skin.

Our patients who have experienced laser tightening have been overwhelmingly happy with their results and found our Laser Facial to be an exceptional way to smooth out wrinkles and tighten the skin. Non-invasive laser treatments for facial skin tightening have been around for years, however, they have more recently become a growing trend in this industry.

Candela Gentle YAG laser technologies deliver unmatched performance – Clinical studies comparing laser devices show the GentleYAG to be superior with respect to efficacy, speed, comfort, and affordability. At BeautySmart Medical Spa, we use only the most advanced & efficient lasers and technology. We have multiple lasers to treat all the needs for every skin type. With us, you can feel secure knowing that you are getting the safest, most state-of-the-art treatment, delivering the best possible results.

What types of skin concerns does a Laser Facial treat?

Our Laser Facial addresses the following:

  • Decreases the appearance of pigmentation from sun-damage and aging
  • Decreases the appearance of red and brown spots
  • Decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improves skin texture & adds suppleness to the skin
  • Increases skin’s collagen production
  • Minimizes pore size

Does it hurt?

The DCD cooling feature results in unparalleled comfort and safety for patients.

Is there downtime?

The laser skin tightening procedure is considered a “lunchtime procedure.” It can be performed in under 30 minutes, allowing clients to return to work after the procedure. Short of doing a facelift, or a more aggressive/invasive approach, our Laser Facial offers excellent results without downtime.

How to prep for your laser facial:

As a precaution, we advise clients to minimize sun before and after GentleYAG procedures and wear a sunblock of SPF 30 or greater.
We recommend stopping the use of retinoids, Retin-A, Retinol and products that contain high percentages of acids, such as Glycolic, for at least 3 days before your treatment, especially if you have sensitive skin.

What should I expect post-treatment?

The beauty of our Laser Facial is that you walk out looking better than when you walk in. Your skin looks dewy, it glows, it looks supple. The added hydration from the application of our BeautySmart MD Skincare products post-treatment makes any temporary or transient heat from the laser treatment diminish almost right away. We encourage added sun protection of 30-spf or higher and hydrators for a few days post-treatment, but there’s no specific products you have to use afterwards. Your skin is more open to the penetration of active ingredients after a laser treatment. So, it’s a great time to focus on utilizing antioxidants and non-irritating anti-aging ingredients. AVOID retinoids or glycolic acid for at least 48 hours afterwards.

Can the Laser Facial be combined with other facial treatments?

Absolutely! We offer our Laser Facial as an add-on to our other facial treatments; however, you can also alternate between them once a week up to once a month.

What are the risks of Laser Facials?

Although rare, side effects are possible. They may include redness, swelling, change in skin pigmentation (lighter or darker), bruising or blisters. Side effects do not last more than a few days, and permanent side effects are exceedingly rare.

Who should not get a Laser Facial?

The Laser Facial will not heal dry skin. Therefore, we do not recommend a Laser Facial for someone who is looking to drastically re-hydrate their skin. Patients with an active cold sore outbreak should refrain from Laser Facials until the outbreak has cleared. Patients taking photosensitizing medications should refrain from Laser Facials until they have stopped their medication. Patients with open, broken or inflamed skin should refrain from Laser Facials until their skin has healed.

This treatment is safe on all skin tones and there’s no downtime!
