What Is SkinVive by Juvederm?
SkinVive comes from Juvederm, the filler family we’ve trusted for years — but it is not a filler. It’s a skin-quality treatment: a smooth hyaluronic acid gel (with a little lidocaine for comfort) injected as very small microdroplets into the dermis, the layer just beneath the surface of the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is something your skin already makes to stay hydrated and soft. With age and sun exposure, natural levels drop — and skin starts to look dull, uneven, and less smooth. What a Treatment Is Like
Consultation first. We assess your skin, talk through realistic goals, and confirm SkinVive is the right fit — alone or as part of a broader skin-quality plan.
A quick, comfortable session. After the area is cleaned, a fine needle places a grid of tiny microdroplets across the treatment area — most commonly the cheeks. Injection time is usually about 15 minutes, and the built-in lidocaine plus the very small volumes keep discomfort mild.
Minimal downtime. Most clients return to normal activities the same day. Mild redness, swelling, small bumps, bruising, or tenderness at the injection sites are common and typically settle within a few days to about a week.
The glow builds. Improvement develops progressively over the first few weeks as the hyaluronic acid integrates and draws in moisture, with full results around the 1-month mark — lasting up to 6 months.
Simple aftercare: skip makeup for the first 12 hours, and hold off on strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcohol for the first 24 hours.
